The Challenge for the Victoria Quilters' Guild
"Quilting with the Stars" Show will be a table runner.

The Challenge fabric must be visible and
identifiable on the top. Up to five other fabrics may be used,
including the backing.
3.
The runner must have 3 layers, top, batting,
backing and must be quilted.
4.
Your name must be on the back, in a permanent
manner (either label or ink) near the centre (so it won't show if
you lift up the ends).
5.
At least two stars either pieced or appliquéd
must be visible on the top.
6.
Outside dimensions not to exceed 50 inches x 20
inches.
7.
The table runner must be for a Special
Occasion. This may be Christmas, or Valentine's Day, or it may
be a more obscure (sorry, personal) event, such as your dog's
birthday, or the anniversary of the day you bought your first car.
You must identify the Special Occasion.
8.
Runners must be handed in (in a plain brown
bag) at least 2 weeks before the show. Samples (2x3") of the
fabrics must be included. Safety pin them to the end of your runner.
9.
Runners will be displayed on tables. On the day
of the Show set-up, you must hand in a centerpiece to accompany your
table runner. The centerpiece must not be alive, fragile or
too valuable. While all due care will be taken...etc.
