This year the show has a change of venue and will be held at Pearkes Recreation Centre, 3100 Tillicum Road, Victoria, BC.

The admission will be $6 for a weekend pass (bracelet) and $5 on Sunday.

Every member in good standing from January 2012 may enter 3 quilts in the show in any of the 12 categories, with a maximum of one large quilt.

Please note that the Quilt entry categories for this show have been changed from previous  years.

The challenges (baby quilt or tea cozy) that you enter are not counted as one of your 3 quilts entered in the show.

There will be the store for those who wish to sell their creations and you may also sell your entries. There will be a 15% commission for items sold.

As always, members who put items in the show or sale must be available to volunteer.

Once again Lisa Gordon has managed to find us some great prizes. In particular, Husqvarna, who are co-sponsoring with Cloth Castle, will be providing two machines.  The first valued at $1200, a Husqvarna 203, the second a Husqvarna 100Q valued at $699.  They will also be donating a third prize of a basket of goods worth $250.  Thanks so much to Husqvarna and Barry Benischek from Cloth Castle.  Lisa has found us other prizes as well, so you will want to get involved.

First, second and third prize ribbons will be awarded in each category.  Members will vote for the winners of these ribbons on Friday and the award winning ribbons will be in place on Saturday.

There are 3 raffle quilts.  Many thanks to those involved, Sharon White and Phyllis Wright for the large quilt, Susan Weir and Jennifer Watson for the I Spy and The Piecing Pals Satellite group for the baby quilt and books.

Raffle tickets will be available at the January meeting. 

Pat Chauvin has some nice promos available for sale at the meetings.
