SUMMARY:VQG Garage Sale
DESCRIPTION:GARAGE SALE – RULES AND INFORMATION: \nThis year’s garage sale is April 16th following the general meeting. All members may sell and buy and guests who have paid their meeting fee are permitted to buy. \nSellers\n1.Items are placed in the sale at your own risk. The committee is not responsible for missing items.2.All items must be quilt related. Cotton only – no polyester\, upholstery or “free” items will be accepted. The committee reserves the right to reject any item not quilt- related or improperly packaged.\n3.Put each item in a resealable\, see-through plastic bag. Bundles of magazines may be tied with string.\n4.Prepare an envelope for each item. Put your name in the upper left corner. Write the name of the item in the middle of the envelope along with the yardage or description and the amount you are asking. Please indicate if there are any flaws or holes in it. Do not seal the envelope.\n5.If you are asking over $10.00 add a paper slip into your bag with your name and contact information. Attach securely with a safety pin. The slip stays in the bag for the sellers. \n6.Place the envelope into the bag and seal the bag. Envelopes may be securely taped to books or other large items. Make sure all your info is visible through the plastic bag. Do not use staples.\n7.Bring all items to the gym entrance before going to the meeting.\n8.Money will be disbursed after the sale is over\, when you have collected all your unsold items and the envelopes have been sorted. \nBuyers\n1.Bring lots of change and small bills as each item must be paid for separately.
